The following are the terms and conditions of sale in effect between you and Sound for Life, a company whose registered office is at Unit 507, 5/F, Chinachem Golden Plaza, 77 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong when you purchase a “Product” or “Product” accessory from Sound for Life.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Your order or purchase of the Product signifies your acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not understand the terms of sale or accept only part of them, do not order or purchase a product.
Privacy
Please refer to our privacy policy for more information on how Sound For Life compiles, uses and shares the information we receive from you.
You accept that in order to process your order and protect you and Sound For Life from fraudulent transactions, Sound For Life may provide your information to reliable third parties in order to verify payment (stripe or paypal service) and delivery address (delivery agent such as DHL, UPS..).
Ordering and payment
When you validate an order, you authorize Sound For Life to debit your credit or debit card or any other method of payment for the total amount of your order that appears before validating your payment (including any shipping and handling charges as well as certain taxes).
You are informed that Sound for Life is a company registered in Hong Kong and that payment is made in the seller’s country. International payments may, in some cases, incur charges applied by your bank. We invite you to contact your bank to find out the amounts and conditions.
Sound For Life reserves the right to refuse your order. For example, if you live in a country where shipping is not possible or if your order exceeds the maximum number of Products allowed.
When Sound for Life receives your order, you will receive an automatic Email with all the details of your order and a second one with the delivery information, the name of the delivery agent, the shipment number and the serial number of the Product. This information will enable you to track your order. The serial number will also be found on your product.
Delivery
During our special promotions, shipping may be free in the following countries only: United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, European Union.
No deliveries can be made to P.O. Boxes or military addresses. When placing your order, please ensure that you give an appropriate delivery address. Also, if possible, avoid commercial addresses, as Sound for Life is not responsible for any loss of shipment.
We are unable to deliver to certain countries, such as Russia and some African countries. Sound for Life may refuse delivery to certain addresses at its discretion. In the event that Sound for Life decides not to deliver, you will be duly notified and your account will not be debited. If a charge has already been made for undelivered products, you will receive a full refund in accordance with your original method of payment.
If a product is not delivered due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information, the product will be returned to Sound for Life or its representative. In such a case, you will not be debited (and if a debit has already been made for undelivered products, you will be fully refunded according to your original payment method), but delivery or handling charges may be retained up to 20% of the total amount of your order (including taxes). If a product is not delivered for any other reason, you will not be charged and any debit will be refunded.
If you do not receive your order, please notify the delivery agent, quoting the tracking number. Delivery agents can sometimes take several days to reply.
If the delivery agent is unable to inform you about the delivery, please contact our support department at info@soundforlife.com . We will then ask you to send us the serial number, delivery number and details of your conversation with the delivery agent.
We have signed contracts with delivery agents to ensure that every effort is made to deliver the product ordered within a maximum of 5 working days from receipt of payment. In the event that the delivery agent cannot find the address given in the order, he will be able to contact you by telephone or e-mail. It is your responsibility to answer this call.
Delivery times may be extended due to customs clearance or delays by delivery agents. Sound For Life cannot be held responsible for delays caused by delivery agents or customs authorities. In the event of an extension of the delivery time, the shipping costs can be reimbursed to the customer on request.
Once the product has been ordered, Sound for Life cannot redirect a delivery if the address is incorrect or incomplete. The delivery agent only allows such redirections in certain circumstances.
If you have any difficulty in locating a parcel that has been delivered, please contact the delivery agent using the tracking number. We also recommend that you check with people at home or at work to see if anyone has accepted the parcel. If you are still unable to locate your package, please ask the agent directly for the name of the person who signed for your package.
Prices, taxes and duties
The product price displayed on the soundforlife.com website does not include shipping and handling charges. Information on this subject will be presented prior to the validation of the order and payment.
All delivery charges will be presented prior to confirmation even if they are not displayed on the order page. All prices displayed on the website are INCOTERM DAP (“Delivered At Place”) and subject to change without notice.
Depending on the country or region of residence, customs duties or local taxes may apply. No information on their amount can be provided during the payment procedure. The customer must bear in mind that shipping companies may charge additional fees for administrative processing with local customs. The customer agrees to be responsible for payment of these charges without possibility of reimbursement by Sound for Life.
Billing errors
We make every effort to ensure that there are no pricing errors on our website. If, however, we discover an error and you have already been charged, we will notify you of the correct price and you will have the option of continuing with your order at the corrected price or cancelling it free of charge.
Restrictions
When placing your order, you may not exceed the maximum number of products specified. The product may be subject to import-export laws with which you must comply. These laws may restrict destinations, users and end use. You may only use the product in accordance with the instructions supplied with it, as well as with the instructions available online on our website.
Resale
Unless you have received specific written authorization from Sound for Life, you may not resell the product for commercial purposes.
The products on the soundforlife.com website are sold exclusively for personal use. You may not assign, rent, resell or make any commercial use of the product.
Use
You expressly understand and agree that the products displayed on the site are educational products. They are not therapeutic or medical material, and, consequently, you cannot expect any therapeutic or medical improvement from these products.
You understand and agree that Sound For Life does not guarantee any results derived from the use of these products.
Forbrain, Soundsory and any other products presented on the soundforlife.com website are not recognized by the Federal Drug Administration in the USA or any other public medical authority in the world.
You understand and agree that the information available on the website and any other information accompanying the product is for educational purposes only and should not be construed as therapeutic or medical information or advice.
The products sold contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3 years of age. They must be used under the supervision and responsibility of an adult.
Return procedure
If for any reason you do not wish to keep your product, you have up to 30 days from the date of delivery to cancel your purchase. In this case, you must pay for the return of the product. To initiate the return procedure, please contact info@soundforlife.com to obtain a return authorization. Upon receipt of your returned product, SOUND FOR LIFE will refund your credit card purchase free of charge. If you did not pay by credit card or if your credit card does not work or if the refund occurs more than 2 months after the day of your initial payment, the refund may be made by bank transfer and all bank charges will be at your expense.
You must take care of the products you wish to return and we ask you to return them to us in their original packaging with their accessories. Upon receipt of your return, SOUND FOR LIFE will proceed with the refund as soon as possible.
Defects
During the warranty period described in the warranty section, if the product is defective for any reason not attributable to you, please contact info@soundforlife.com. In accordance with the product warranty, Sound for Life may, at its discretion, offer a replacement product or refer you to the manufacturer for assistance. If Sound for Life chooses to offer you a replacement product, you agree that Sound for Life will replace the defective product with either a new or used unit. In accordance with the warranty, the defective product will be replaced within 15 days (excluding shipping) of receipt.
