Reading gives you wings!
Let’s Fly makes reading fun and doable for every child! We mix phonics, word patterns, and sight words — because sometimes phonics alone isn’t enough. New words are served up in small, easy bites, then sprinkled into silly sentences, funny poems, and lively games. Step by step, kids build confidence, fluency, and a real love for stories — all while having a blast!

Phonological Awareness
Your little learner will build strong sound skills — the foundation for reading and spelling success.
Phonics
As they grow, they’ll learn that some letters and letter groups can make different sounds, helping them decode words accurately and fluently.
Visual Understanding
We tackle common hurdles like left-to-right scanning, letter orientation, and sequencing. Early reading uses the Open Dyslexic Font to make words easier for little eyes.
Building Confidence
We also focus on rapid recognition of the most common words — the ones that make up 65% of everyday reading — to boost fluency and confidence.
The Big Word Trick
Our big word trick helps children tackle long, tricky words in a fun, friendly way — taking the fear out of reading big words.
Comprehension Skills
Finally, Let’s Fly grows comprehension skills, so little learners not only read the words but understand and enjoy their stories too.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kim Wyrley-Birch, Dyslexia specialist and teacher
Kim Wyrley-Birch is the founder of Let’s Fly. With a degree in psychology and a diploma in specialist teaching, she is also a Dyslexia Assessor and a SEN specialist, possessing the knowledge and experience to help your child succeed in reading.
Kim’s passion for supporting struggling readers began with her own children. When they started school, it became evident that the road to learning was a little bumpier for them. An interest in helping her children grew over the years into a distinguished career in special learning difficulties. Kim is a professional member of the Professional Association of Teachers with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS). She runs a private practice-Dyslexia Decoded, and works with children struggling just like hers did.
KIM'S STORY
“I started developing Let’s Fly about 10 years ago. Despite their curiosity and love for stories, my children found learning to read incredibly challenging. The words and letter patterns simply wouldn’t stick, making even basic school skills impossible to grasp. The impact on their confidence and self-esteem was devastating. I knew I needed to help at home. I wanted something that would really work but be manageable in our busy lives. Something fun, engaging, and very different from the black-and-white worksheets sent home from school.
The Let’s Fly Method is a culmination of years of research, my professional expertise, and my experiences as a mum of 3 struggling readers. Understanding underlying reasons why learning to read is difficult and researching practical, effective solutions has been a passion of mine. Over the years, I have developed and honed the Let’s Fly Method in my own teaching practice. My pupils have also been fantastic critics, teaching me what works best for them. Watching their confidence blossom as their reading improves is the most wonderful part of my job!”
