A singer myself, and someone who has worked with singers since 1982, I had been told about this device by a client. I went ahead and purchased it on his recommendation. I am happy that I did. Once I began using it, I noticed from the start an improved resonance in my voice without having to work as hard for it. It is light weight and simple to use but substantial in its benefits; recharges itself with the USB cable that accompanies it from your computer. I recommend it now to all my clients because it will begin to tune them into their voice in relation to bone conduction, which is 10 times faster than hearing our own voice through air conduction of sound. It basically retrains the person’s nervous system to ‘feel’ their voice in their body before they hear it in the space around them. It has accelerated my clients learning considerably. I highly recommend it!

Singing with Forbrain is for me a wonderfully informative and intelligence-boosting experience. As a voice teacher, I find that almost universally, Forbrain helps singers more rapidly improve in ear training and vocal ability. This includes but is not limited to improved pitch, harmonic overtone production, tone quality, pronunciation and vocal registration. Plus, it's quite wonderful to have one's own personal auditory feedback loop system and is so easy to take everywhere! Several of my professional and semi-pro singers use them at their gigs, especially in situations with poor PA monitors. Some even use them in recording studios along with the regular studio headphones. An audio engineer, to whom I frequently refer clients, has made measurements and finds that he personally and other singers he records, need less or even no auto-tuning in the studio when wearing Forbrain headphones. That’s a remarkable and easily-measurable benefit!

I bought the Forebrain on a lark, hoping that it might help me improve my singing. I play bluegrass guitar and sea shanty concertina, but I've been embarrassed to sing in public. I took some singing lessons but still had trouble singing on (or close to) key. The Forebrain turned out to be a game changer. When I put it on, I could hear my voice clearly and perceive when I was on pitch. Soon I developed the capability to perceive my pitch without the Forebrain. Now I'm singing and playing in public. Thank you, Forebrain! BTW, I'm over 70 and have ADHD. I'm beginning to use the Forebrain to read aloud to myself. The manufacturer claims this will improve my memory, conversational flow, and concentration. If it works as claimed, that would be a boon. I'll add to my review after I have time to evaluate.

My children wear the Forbrain during Violin, Piano and Voice practice at home. Their attention-in-the- moment of practice is enhanced. They feel more present. The are more focused. I notice that they are more aware of their posture and make adjustments in the playing /singing more easily. Turning the microphone towards their instrument seems to be really grounding them and bonding them to the instrument, in a sense integrating it into their body. I encourage them to wear it when they memorize pieces, as brain executive functions of memory and attention is especially supported with the Forbrain. The Forbrain is very lightweight and its comfortable fit makes it very easy to wear, without distracting from musical instrument/ vocal practice. I hope that more music teachers will be open to explore how this can support their students.

I was experiencing a decline in the pitch accuracy of my singing voice. I’m a worship music pastor and singing quality is very important to me. So I searched for new warm up and pitch exercises. I also spent sessions with a vocal coach. These helped somewhat but I kept pushing sharp when in my upper register. I wasn’t hearing myself push sharp in my in ear monitors or acoustically, but in the recordings and livestreams it was painfully clear. I came across Forbrain in my attempt to solve this issue.
